A new Orthodox-Catholic model of global development will replace the last 600 years of colonial liberalism -- in the long-term. In the short-term, the U.S. is still about to collapse. This is not another conspiracy theory from the blogging depths of the internet, but the newest interview with Igor Panarin in a recent issue of Economic Strategies (Ekonomicheskie Strategii 4 (2010)).

Igor Nikolaevich is a political scientist, an academician at the Russian Military Academy, and a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds PhDs in psychology and political science. Panarin has made a career of long-term geopolitical commentary, much of which has been far less rosy than that by a standard talking head on a major news network.

In the interview with Economic Strategies, Panarin suggests that what we are seeing today is the crash of a 600-year cycle of global development. This cycle is based on two major components -- the drug trade and the slave trade -- the foundation of all European colonial empires, especially the British Empire. However, the collapse of the Soviet Union marked the near-exhaustion of this particular geopolitical model:

"Let me remind you that since 2006, the Fed has not been providing any information about the number of dollars it prints, even at the request of the Congress. Consequently, ideologically [Americans] are not able to create a new model. Colonial liberalism, which dominated the past 500-600 years, is at the end of its journey. Marxist socialism-colonialism was a part of this colonial liberalism, developed during the information war waged by the British Empire. Marxism, in fact, was an imported project, used to suppress Russia, Germany, and other alternative financial and economic systems. Protestants were the shock force in the construction of colonial liberalism. Whether they liked it or not, the spiritual and economic components were precisely Protestant-Lutheran.

As the U.S.-dollar model of liberal colonialism ceases to exist, Igor Nikolaevich projects that it will be replaced by three key currencies: the rouble, the Euro, and the Asian Monetary Unit (ACU) -- based on the Chinese yuan. When it comes to North America, in particular, the Canadian dollar may become the source of a new regional currency, because the U.S. dollar is likely to disappear as a result of the U.S. collapse. He reminds us that the Canadian dollar is supported by natural resources, and can, therefore, gain strength. However, if the U.S. smartens up and reinstitutes something like the silver dollar, then it might be possible to create a new regional currency on the Can-American basis. This currency would allow for a relatively painless way out of the economic crisis, 'Those people, who have been an influence on the geopolitical and economic situation, of course, do not want to lose power. They fear, say, physical elimination.'"

Panarin believes that there is reason to forecast the collapse of the U.S. as early as July, which would be led by California. The collapse of California would trigger a default, which would have a fatal impact on the U.S. economy.

It's very important to understand that we currently have a power structure where China is a far better friend to people of European descent than America is. This is because China and Europeans both have an interest in the weakening of America as an Economic Power and her destruction as a Military Power, while the American Elite seek to stop these healthy developments from coming to fruition.

The way you destroy America is by replacing the Dollar as the Global Reserve Currency. The value of the Dollar is being propped up by Foreign Governments, especially in Asia, and the debt becomes unservicable the second enough dollars are displaced from their places in Sovereign Asset Funds.

And if a lot of this replacing can be done by the Ruble, strengthening the influence of the racially conservative Russian Government, so much the better.

There has been untenable harm done to Europe by the World War II derived calamity of their being dominated by an American Elite, and few things could be better for the indigenous inhabitants of Europe than the overthrow and/or replacement of this Elite's influence by the Russians.

Every time a faction of Europeans have wanted to do something idiotic or ruinous the Americans have backed that faction, putting them over the top to seeing their evil plans put into practice.

Then as Russia has done positive things they’ve had the American Government and its Puppet-Masters like George Soros constantly attack them from the Left.

Also I tend to think the armies of Western Europe are extremely weak, for the most part.  Even the Countries in Southwestern Europe that still have masculinity and fighting spirit tend to spend very little on keeping their weapons systems properly updated, due to the profoundly regretable mistake they made of relying on the America dominated EU security umbrella.

And it would be far better, for example, to have Russian troops in Germany than American troops partly for this reason.

With the Russian soldiers you know two things:

1. Unlike the Western European soldiers, it is certain they would easily win against Non-Europeans.

2. Unlike American soldiers, they would actually fight against the Non-Europeans, and not for them.

All This Tea Party Talk Is Making Me Thirsty!

Hello, hello, loyal readers! Say, have you guys seen this new show on TV? The one with all the animals running around, screaming at one another, and generally causing a ruckus? No, it's not on Discovery Channel or Animal Planet. I'm talking about CNN! Holy Hannity, what a hubbub. I've never seen so many protests, debates, and filibusters in all my life….

Well, at least not since the last time I tried to put the moves on my wife!

Folks, there's an epidemic breaking out on Capitol Hill. It seems some activist types got together, started calling themselves the Tea Party, and caught a bad case of tick fever…poli-tick-al fever! Now, ol' Roger was never one for politics. (If I wanted to spend a lot of time worrying about somebody who never worried about me, I'd raise a kid. Oh, wait. I did! Twice!) But this group is making such a stink it's hard to ignore them.

These Tea Party folks are all over my cable box. I'm practically steeping in it! I can barely turn on the television without hearing Jay or Letterman crack wise about one of their protests. Hey, Tea Party movement, didn't anyone tell you the Revolutionary War will not be televised? "No Taxation Without Representation?" How about no screen time without SAG affiliation? I say we dump these protest-happy patriots into the Boston Harbor for the sake of the late-night lineup.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm all for free speech (and Pay-per-View), but some people just take it too far. Like anywhere outside of their house!

Believe me, I know the system ain't perfect. Heck, I'd fire every single Congressman, woman, and child if I could. They'd probably say, "Hey, who's this nationally syndicated humorist? We don't work for you!" And I'd say, "Well, of course not. You're politicians. You don't work for anyone!" And they'd say, "Oh, Roger. What are your thoughts on the three branches of government?" And then I'd say, "Government branches are exactly like tree branches: They're only worth paying attention to in the Autumn when they're changing!"

Recess!

I just don't get these modern-day protests. They're all style and no substance. Maybe I'm from a different era—the Stone Age, according to my kids!—but whatever happened to a good old-fashioned sit-in? Remember those? A bunch of people get together to push a personal agenda by sitting motionless in a room and refusing to do anything until someone gives them what they want.

Hold on…I just described Congress!

And my kids!

Then again, I guess it's high time I made a sacrifice for the good of my country. (I mean besides the arm and leg I paid in taxes this year!) So I've decided to take up a cause very close to my heart: my stomach. That's right, folks. I am hereby announcing my own grassroots political movement: the Pizza Party. It's just like the Tea Party, except we never assemble, we never march, and the only demands we have are no anchovies! But most importantly, you won't see us on the TV. No, like any true citizen, we'll be sitting in front of it!

The Endless Struggle

My apologies if you've already heard this personal anecdote, which I first shared at a talk that I gave this past August at the American Psychological Association Meetings in Boston.

Most readers of the evolutionary psychology blogs know that the threat of paternity uncertainty affects men's psyches in profound ways. Men are sexually territorial. They can respond in harsh manners if they suspect sexual infidelity. They typically abhor promiscuous women as prospective wives. They create all sorts of cultural practices that are ultimately meant to assuage their fears of being cuckolded including chastity belts, harem sequestration, female circumcision, foot binding, and strict Sharia edicts regarding women's modesty.

One strategy used by women in allaying men's paternity uncertainty concerns is to insist that a newborn looks like the father even though objectively it is rather difficult to gauge morphological resemblance at such an early age (see the references below). Furthermore, a woman's relatives are much more likely to proclaim paternal resemblance than is the father's side precisely because it is in their best interest to establish paternal assuredness. This is a good example of the very specific hypotheses that are routinely tested within the evolutionary psychology framework. As you can see, there is nothing inherently unfalsifiable about evolutionary predictions.

A few months ago, my wife and I returned home from a visit to her OB/GYN, proudly holding copies of the ultrasound images of the growing fetus. We engaged in the customary behaviors such as posting the images on the fridge's door. My in-laws dropped by to say hello, and to share in the good news that all was going well with the gestation. Upon seeing the ultrasound images, my mother-in-law uttered without any hesitance:

Gad, the baby looks exactly like you. He has your profile!

Wait a second now. I cannot tell which species is represented in the ultrasound image (is it a lizard, a joey, or an alien?), nor can I identify specific body parts yet my mother-in-law was able to detect an uncanny resemblance between the fetus and me! Being the consummate evolutionist, I right away thought to myself: Yes! Assuaging of paternity uncertainty by my wife's side of the family! The unique point here is that this is the first documented case of this phenomenon in utero! When I shared my thoughts with my mother-in-law, she seemed unmoved by my evolutionary logic. Rather, she reaffirmed her position, and added that the ultrasound images of her other daughter's child, had also revealed an extraordinary resemblance between the fetus and the father. By the way, I do not mean to imply that the evolutionary mechanism in question is a conscious one. Rather, it is likely that a perceptual distortion takes place without any cognizance on the part of the individual who is proclaiming the resemblance.

My wife is due any day now. Let's see whom the kid will actually resemble.

More On Russian Fertility

In response to my Blog Posting on Russian Fertility, Reader Ronduck Asks:

What is the ethnic breakdown if this increase in fertility? If the increase is due solely to Islamic women then Russians are still screwed.

Ronduck,

I found a document showing the degree of increase in the number of births for different Russian Federal Districts from Q1 2009 to Q1 2010.

Then I compared these increases to the Percentage of Residents in each District who are Ethnic Russians.
Thankfully what I found is that there's nothing even close to a statistically significant negative relationship between percentage Ethnic Russian and the increase in the number of Births.

Only 2.4% of the variation is explained by the Districts with more Non-Russians having a higher increase in Births, and the two tailed P Value on this very weak correlation is 0.71.

This indicates that almost all the increase is coming from Ethnic Russian Women, with only a slightly disproportionate amount of the increase coming from the Non-Russian Minorities.

Also it is notable that Muslims in Russia are very strongly concentrated in the North Caucasus Federal District (62% Muslim), which actually had less of an increase in Births than the FAR more Russian Far Eastern Federal District (82% Ethnic Russian), Central Federal District (91% Ethnic Russian), Ural Federal District (83% Ethnic Russian), and Northwest Federal District (86% Ethnic Russian).

It is especially interesting that the Central Federal District is the most Ethnic Russian of all Federal Districts and had the highest increase in 2010 Births save for the Far Eastern District, which also has a higher portion of Ethnic Russians than the Russian Federation’s overall rate of 79.6% Russian.

Russian Fertility Rate Increased By 4.7% In 2009

The importance of Russia can't be understated.  What it combines is the most Racially and Culturally Conservative government of a majority White Country today, with the only really strong army in Eurasia with the exception of the Non-White Nation of China.

For this reason it was very good to see that in 2009 the Russian Total Fertility Rate defied predictions that it would decline in response to the World Financial Crises, and instead continued the pattern of increase which began in 2007, the year Vladimir Putin announced that women choosing to have a second child would receive 250,000 rubles and rolled out a stream of pro-family programs, events, and holidays.

In a recent post, Mark Adomanis pointed out that the Russian economy has done significantly better than many other East European nations during the recent crisis and is now mounting a strong recovery. He also speculated on the effects of the crisis on the demography of badly-affected countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, and the Baltics, on the basis that ”Russia’s experience during the 1998 debt default amply demonstrates that cutting healthcare budgets and pensions in the midst of an economic catastrophe causes a lot of excess deaths among vulnerable sectors of the population”.

Now I’ve never really worried about the consequences on mortality of an economic recession, because I don’t buy into The Lancet’s arguments that it was the reduction in Russian social spending in 1998 that contributed to the mortality wave of 1999-2002, since the increasing affordability of, and consumption of, alcohol was by far the more convincing factor. (Also, in industrialized states, recessions tend to correlate with falls in mortality rates). On the other hand, hard recessions – especially ones which result in reduced public spending on social welfare – usually are associated with substantial reductions in fertility.

In this post I’m going to take a look at how valid these observations and theories are in light of the recent economic crisis in Eastern Europe.

Russia. At the start of the crisis in late 2008, I expected Russia’s fertility rate to fall slightly – though nowhere near the magnitudes predicted by Russia’s “demographic doomers”, of course. (Though even for that I got a lot of flak). Yet ironically even my predictions turned out to be too pessimistic, probably because increased government spending meant that Russians’ social welfare hardly suffered at all during the crisis. Even Russia’s fertility rate continued to climb, reaching 1.56 in 2009 (2008 – 1.49, 2007 – 1.41, 2006 – 1.30), a level last seen in 1992.

And like I said, Russia’s trends towards falling mortality actually accelerated, with life expectancy for both genders hitting 69.0 years in 2009 (2008 – 67.9, 2007 – 67.5, 2006 – 66.6, 2005 – 65.3) – a level that was only ever previously observed in 1963-1974 and 1986-1991.

Demographic improvements relative to the same period last year continued in Q1 2010, with the birth rate up another 1.3% and mortality rates falling by 2.0% (inc. by about 10% for external causes). (The figures on fertility are particularly significant when you recall that Russia reached the nadir of its economic crisis in H1 2009). According to Sergey Slobodyan’s demographic model, the data indicates that a projection of 1.9-2.0mn deaths and 1.8-1.9mn births in 2010 is feasible, meaning that natural population decrease will almost cease (the total population should grow, as last year, due to immigrants).

Conclusion – contrary to hysterical predictions of economic and demographic apocalypse propagated about Russia in late 2008, the real impact on social welfare was very marginal and the demographic situation actually continued to improve. This year, Russia’s life expectancy will probably approach 70 years (still very low for an industrialized country) and its total fertility rate will hit around 1.6 children per woman (as in Canada). Although the mortality rate remains very substandard relative to the industrialized world, current healthcare and anti-alcohol initiatives are helping usher in rapid improvements.

One of the things I greatly admire about PJ Harvey is how her Artistic embrace of a dark and almost seething Southern Gothic sexuality constitutes an implicit rejection of the dissipated and trivialized sexuality of the Modern West. 

I also like how she doesn’t limit herself to writing lyrics from the perspective of one gender or the other. Song is abstract enough a form of expression that there’s simply no need for such an insipid limitation as the pretence of autobiography, as the many Men who’ve successfully sung Danny Boy can attest.

I just noticed this Blog entry by a Feminist (Erin Tuegel) who decided to: "Officially became an activist. Infuriated by the constant presence of anti-choice protesters in front of my local Planned Parenthood, I decided to draw up pro-choice signs and counter-protest their idiocy."

The most interesting part of the Entry is found here:

When my trusted accomplice (Thomas) and I arrived at Planned Parenthood, we set up camp across the driveway from the aforementioned misogynists, intending to leave them in peace. At first, they were curious, thinking us to be compatriots for their cause. They were disappointed when they finally saw our “Keep Abortion Legal” and “Trust Women” posters.

The anti-choicers largely ignored us after that. One woman made a point of praying her rosary a little more fervently after she saw us, but the others appeared merely bored. One man (the ringleader) was forced to walk past us when he arrived, but he pretended we didn’t exist. He then proceeded to have a tiny conference with one of the female antis while shooting us disgusted looks.

The cars driving by seemed evenly divided in their opinions. We received roughly the same amount of honks, thumbs-ups, and waves from passersby as the anti-choicers did. Thomas and I decided this was a victory for us, as most people are hesitant to become passionate about preserving the status quo.

After a half hour or so, I became bored with my “Trust Women” message, and swapped it out for “Hos before Embryos.” The number of smiles and thumbs-ups I received increased significantly at that point.

Once we had been standing there for about forty-five minutes, the female anti who had been engaged in discussion with the alpha male walked over to us with a smile on her face. She inspected my sign and asked what it meant. I informed her that it was a play on “Bros before Hos.” She still failed to understand, so I told her it meant that women are more important than undeveloped clusters of cells. She then asked to see Thomas’ sign, but grew disinterested as soon as she processed the message.

She proceeded to confirm my heretical beliefs on abortion. I informed her that while I may never wish to terminate a pregnancy, I firmly believe that the government has no place banning or restricting access to a safe and legal medical procedure. She then asked Thomas if he would allow a woman to receive an abortion. He didn’t get a chance to answer, as I incredulously mocked the notion that a man could allow or disallow a woman to do anything.

Note that here she mocks a notion that every society in Human History was based on except for the more Liberal parts of the West in the last few decades.

Here's the basic issue: If a Man can't disallow his wife from doing anything, why should he marry her in the first place?

If a Man can't disallow a Woman from killing his child before it even has a chance to be born, why should HIS freedom be infringed on by society forcing him to resist the urges he may have to kill?

Why is it only the Female urge to kill which is given the imprimatur of society?

And if a Man and a Woman produce a child, why is it only the Woman who has a right to kill it?

Only allowing one party in a relationship the power to kill the child of the other creates an unacceptable assymetry of power, to say the least.

Anyone who claims for Women the right to kill a Man's child without his permission, while denying Men the right to kill a Woman's child without her permission, is the worst sort of hypocrite and scoundrel.

Some might claim that Men don't mind when their children are killed in the Womb, but if that's the case why aren't they asked for permission first?  If it isn't tearing a lot of them up inside, if it isn't something they'd often stop if they were actually given a choice, why were Feminists so obsessed with giving a Woman the right to abort her child without even telling the father?

"For example, none of the NRO participants mentioned the fact that thanks to the 1992 U.S. Supreme Court decision Casey v. Planned Parenthood, women are not required to inform the father of the impending abortion. That’s an important omission — according to clinic workers, in 15% of abortions the man never finds out, or learns of the deed until it’s too late." -Intellectual Conservative

To backtrack to one of the other things Erin Tuegel said:

"I firmly believe that the government has no place banning or restricting access to a safe and legal medical procedure."

This is circular logic.  If something being legal is a reason for the Government having no place banning it, then nothing could be banned!

For something to be banned it has to have been legal before it was banned.  Otherwise, they'd be no reason to bother going through the trouble of banning it.

And as for Abortion being a safe medical procedure, there are plenty of safe things the Government currently bans without complaint.  For example, it would be perfectly safe for a Company to restrict hiring entirely to Men, and yet if a Company tried it they'd be in serious legal trouble from the Government.

I firmly believe that the Government has no place banning or restricting access to this perfectly safe employment procedure.

This reminds me of an exchange I once had with the Historian of Science Cornelius Troost:

"Pleasure is merely the sensations associated with the 'pleasure center' of the brain which evolved as a motivational system for things like reproduction." -Cornelius Troost

Mr. Troost: What basis do you have for calling the "pleasure center" of the brain the "pleasure center" of the brain?

All you have is an ex post facto explanation that isn't based on anything resembling objective observation of reality, instead only being based on the results of asking subjective beings what this or that "feels like".

You don't even know what the phrase "feels like" actually means, on a scientific level, and yet you use that inane question as your basis for understanding the brain.

I could write a Computer Program where when a particular part of a Computer Chip was stimulated, it would report "feeling happy".

If you studied that Computer Program, you would have just as much reason for calling that part of the computer chip the "pleasure center" of the chip as you do for calling a part of the Human Brain the "pleasure center" of the brain.

In other words, your technique used to assign that name to a part of the Human Brain is invalid, and doesn't constitute real Scientific Evidence of anything.

If a Scientist knew nothing of "feelings", he would never guess based on observation of the brain that Qualia would be experienced by the people with those brains.

From a Scientific standpoint, the brain just looks like a mechanism designed by evolution to seek certain things and avoid other things, without there being the slightest need for Qualia.

What difference is there on a materialist level between a Human Brain, which according to you "feels" Qualia, and a Computer that doesn't feel anything at all?

And if the men who designed Computers felt no need to put Qualia in, why did Evolution go through the trouble of putting Qualia into us?

Now I could imagine Evolution leading to Beings that talk as if they felt Qualia, as that could be useful from the standpoint of communicating information about the impact of this or that on survival prospects.

However, no need for actual Qualia would ever arise.

The only real basis I have for saying Cornelius Troost feels Qualia, as opposed to being a Primate that evolved the ability to speak as it he feels Qualia, is that I am a member of the same Species as him and I know from my own subjective experience that I feel Qualia.

But beyond that subjective and highly personal information I am privvy to, there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Troost or any other being in the Universe goes through Qualia or has actual feelings.

And in fact, Materialist Evoltuionary theory pushes us STRONGLY in the direction of the conclusion that no such thing as authenthic qualia exists.

The only problem is that this contradicts what we all know to be true: That we experience actual Qualia as we go through our lives.

Seriously?

So Woody Allen is saying he wishes Obama could be “dictator for a few years.”

I don’t really have much to say about this except to point out the sheer absurdity of saying you want a 48 year old to be dictator for only a few years.

This reminds me of what someone once said about the WASPs:

“The WASPs lost the war in an afternoon. They were more bothered that Jews were uncouth than that they were fomenting cultural revolution. They kept them out of some country clubs but let them have the NYT. It was the polite thing to do.”

The WASPs Elites took the attitude that it was okay giving Jews the control over the Culture and Politics of the Country, as long as the WASP Elites had Country Clubs where they could avoid interacting with the Jews socially.

In a somewhat similar way Woody Allen seems to think it’s okay to make Obama dictator over the Country, as long as it’s for “just a few years.”

That makes it all different.

One of the darkly amusing things about the Media's coverage of that Hutaree Militia arrest is that MSNBC literally had the thing on the bottom of their screen say: "FBI Catches Cop Killers".

This caused me to think that if I'm ever brought up on MSNBC, they'll call me a Billionaire and Father of Many Nations.

Besides the issue that the Media presented the case in a very biased way, which in the case of one network actually involved a weird attempt to redefine the phrase "Cop Killer", there's also the issue that the Media has been biased in its refusal to widely report on the Government's case appearing to fall apart, after having given the arrests so much coverage.

FBI agent short on details on militia inquiry

DETROIT - An FBI agent who led the investigation of nine Michigan militia members charged with trying to launch war against the federal government couldn't recall many details of the two-year probe yesterday during questioning by defense lawyers.

Even the judge who must decide whether to release the nine until trial was puzzled.

"I share the frustrations of the defense team … that she doesn't know anything," U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said after agent Leslie Larsen confessed she hadn't reviewed her notes recently and couldn't remember specific details of the case.

...At other times, Leslie Larsen couldn't answer questions because she said she hadn't reviewed investigative reports.

Defense lawyer William Swor asked if the No. 1 defendant, Hutaree leader David Stone, had ever instructed anyone to make a bomb.

"I can't fully answer that question," the agent replied.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Tukel defended Ms. Larsen, telling the judge it wasn't clear until Monday that she would testify.

Judge Roberts, however, said she told the government to be prepared last week.

Now either the FBI has really gone to seed in the competence department lately, or the arrests were made under some kind of Political Pressure.

You'd only see this kind of performance by a Government Agent on the Stand of a Federal Court when the case against the defendant(s) is nearly nonexistent (which raises the question of why it was ever brought to trial), or when the Government Agent and her superiors are a bunch of Keystone Kops.

But you know what?

I bet nothing strikes fear into criminals like the name "Leslie Larsen".  Please don't throw your lipstick and pumps at us, Officer Leslie! We surrender!!  We surrender!!!

Everybody Knows (The War Is Over)

Everyone knows that Homosexual Marriage is now pretty much a lock to be legalized in all 50 States, right?

Obviously John Paul Stevens would've voted for it anyway, but there's just something about having an actual female Homosexual on the Court's that's going to change the balance of things.

It's a form of the Overton Window.  There's something more extreme in having an actual female Homosexual pushing Gay Marriage on the Supreme Court, and thus the concept of every State being forced to legalize Gay Marriage will become more acceptable in the minds of the swing voters (or perhaps rather I should say "swing voter").

The Real Reason Greece Is In So Much Debt

EU President Herman Van Rompuy Writes:

The important thing is for people and things everywhere to be exactly the same.

That's why you Americans and Canadians have to take the minority of land in the Western Hemisphere where the majority of residents are descended from Europeans, and turn it into another version of Latin America via the mechanism of immigration.

That way all of the Western Hemisphere will be the same, with none of that diversity that I hate so much.

That's why it was so important for Walmart, McDonalds, etc. to destroy Small Businesses, so wherever you go the stores and eateries are the same.

And that's why it was SO important to end the parochial attachment different European Peoples had to their National Currencies.

Of course the final solution to Monetary Diversity is to only have one denomination for the entire World, but in the meantime it's a step in the right direction to have only one currency in Europe.

This way I can move from Spain to Italy to Germany to Greece to Britain, and there's no difference! I can use the same soulless and tradition free money without even having to be reminded of the horrible fact that there's more than one Country in the World, and that I moved from one Country to another.

Having to remember what Country I'm in at any particular time hurts my head, and it would be much easier if all Countries were exactly the same to accommodate my profound mental retardation.

And to show you how committed I and the EU are to this cause of destroying Monetary Diversity, just look at how much harm we inflicted on ourselves (and the Greeks) to get the Greeks to replace their ancient currency the Drachma with the Euro, as recounted by Auster commenter Mark P:

To answer your question briefly, the rest of the EU countries, especially the biggest ones like Germany and France, made massive investments in Greece. These investments were, effectively, bribes to prevent Greece from leaving once the "sticker shock" of shifting to the Euro was realized. Without these "investments," the Greeks would never have tolerated the huge price increases they experienced when they converted from the Drachma to the Euro.

To understand the underlying problem, one has to realize that the "Euro" is actually the Deustchmark. The process of shifting to the Euro meant that every single EU country's currency defaults to the value of continetal Europe's most valuable currency, which was the Deutschmark.

This occurs because companies end up selling their products where they can fetch the highest price, which means selling the bulk of their output to German consumers. Therefore, a Greek citizen ends up paying as much for his locally produced feta cheese and olive oil as his German neighbors to the north ... only problem is the Greek has probably less than half the income of the German.

To get around this problem, the EU made massive investments to increase the income of the Greeks, effectively lending them the money they needed to live like German consumers. Of course, the Greeks are not as productive as the Germans and they are not likely to move to Germany. Thus, the current crisis.

When the EU had separate currencies, the PIIGS were able to adjust economically by having currencies that were cheap relative to the Deutschmark. So, German consumers got a good deal buying Greek exports because the Drachma was always trading at a discount to the DM, or declining in relation to the DM. This, of course, made German exports to Greece very expensive, but, locally produced products were always affordable for Greek citizens.

Under the Euro, however, not only to German products remain as expensive as ever, but all locally-produced Greek products are now as expensive as if they were being made in Germany and sold to Germans.

To put it another way, it's why BMWs cost the same in New York as they do in North Dakota, even though North Dakota has poorer citizens.

Probably the only hope for Britain at this point is a replay of what happened to Weimar Germany.

They have unsustainable Government financial policies, and in the BNP they have a Party explicitly dedicated to preserving the indigenous people.

In the election that just happened the BNP got 2.9 times as many votes as they ever got before. 

The problem is that this was still only 1.2% of the total.

But it's important to understand that this is still in the general ballpark of how well the NSDAP did in the two National Elections they contested before the Stock Market Crash of 1929:

But one thing to bear in mind is that the National Socialists never faced the kind of fanatical opposition from the Media and Liberal Elite that the BNP does today.

Every single time a British Paper runs a picture of Nick Griffin, they pick one where he looks far worse in appearance than he usually does.  And don't get me started about the words they use against the BNP, and how freakishly biased and unfair they are.

I think the BNP vote totals are lower than they would be otherwise because the Liberal Dictatorship running England still has legitimacy in the hearts and minds of the mindless common scum.  Otherwise they wouldn't tolerate the "Conservative" Party being run by a Radical Leftist like David Cameron. 

But just as the mindhold of the Weimar Regime and the Decadant Liberals behind it collapsed with the ruination of the German economy and massive devaluation of her currency, so too would the mindhold of the Anti-White madmen running the Labor, Tory, and Liberal Democratic Parties fall away after the chits are called in on England.

Will the English economy collapse, or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

The British have been living the high life on borrowed money for at least a decade, if not more. When Brown was Chancellor he liked calling it a "miracle economy." This is true. The fact that so many were living the high life despite producing zilch was certainly a miracle! The party's over now. It's time to deal with the hangover and pay the bills. It's not going to be pretty to watch. Watch out for a Sterling crisis in the not too distant future. Britain will soon be mentioned in the same breath as Greece--which is not entirely unfair, the economies of both nations are grossly over-indebted and produce nothing of value that can be traded.

The British "People" just elected a Prime Minister who rewards the BNP for trying to defend their land from invasion by saying they're the mirror image of the invaders.



In a way I suppose if you're attacked and defend yourself, you do become in some ways the mirror image of the people attacking you.

It's like if someone pulled out a gun and started shooting at the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. His security would respond by pulling out guns and starting to shoot in the opposite direction.

They'd respond by becoming the EXACT "mirror image" of the would be assassin.

Given this, clearly the only proper way to handle an assassination attempt on the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is for everyone to just sit on their hands and watch as he dies in a hail of gunfire.

Then everyone can continue to sit on their hands as the assassin gets away.

This is the ONLY way the people around David Cameron could avoid becoming the mirror image of the assassin.

In the same way, the British have no choice but to let interlopers steal their wealth, Rape their Women, and use violence to ethnically cleanse them from wide swaths of their ancient Homeland.

If they resisted they would become just like the invaders, as there's no way for a group to resist being abused by another group without adopting the outdated nonclemature of "us" and "them".

You see there's no such thing as "us" and "them". There's only us.

If you and your best buddy were walking home from a sporting event and two guys attacked you, it would be very tempting for you to think of the two guys attacking you as "them".

Pressure Point

What just happened with the market Thursday afternoon was very important. The Dow lost about 9% of its value in a matter of a couple hours.

Now it went back up most of the way before the day was done, but that isn't the important thing.

The important thing is that we've just had confirmed that Wall Street is overvalued enough that the mere specter of debt defaults in Greece caused just of the sort of thing to happen which would be crippling to the American Economy and Government in the context of a War.

This reinforces that the weakest point of American Power is the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

And you can tell the overlords of this Country are getting nervous, given the idiotic excuse they pulled out of their hats to explain the mini-crash.

I actually saw a gal on Fox News trying to say the thing was caused by some bumbler accidently selling billions of shares when he meant to only sell millions of them!

This is so stupid, this idea that you can cause the entire market to lose 9% of it's value based on one Man's mistake, that it's hard to believe the theory was bandied about on national television.

Also, as Richard Spencer points out the timing doesn't match up at all:

Afterwards the network claimed that the whole thing was set off by a silly error made by a trader, who reportedly typed a "b" (as in billion) instead of a "m" (as in million) in a Proctor and Gamble sell order.

The only problem with this story is that the massive P&G sale took place well after the capitulation was under way, demonstrated by this comparison of the P&G chart to those of the Dow and S&P. Perhaps a trader did make a typo, but he did this in a panic after the market had turned belly up.

But the really weird thing is that according to Spencer this deceptive line was being pushed by the CNBC crowd.

What Abrams is completely ignoring is that it's profoundly beneficial for Women for some of them to be lashed and otherwise punished for immodesty.

And as for the idea that there's something wrong with stoning being enshrined in Iranian law, that's certainly rich coming from someone of the same race as Moses:

Don't Let Young Children Watch Television

In 2006 Prof. Michael Waldman of Cornell University did a study very strongly indicating that exposure to Television under the age of three greatly increases the chances a child will be diagnosed with Autism.

"If early childhood television watching is a trigger for autism, then one would expect the percentage of households in a community or county with a susbscription to cable television to be correlated with the autism rate in that community or county. We investigate this issue using autism and corresponding cable rates broken down by geographic area in California and Pennsylvania for children born between 1972 and 1989 and show that indeed cable subscription rates are positively correlated with autism rates. Further, this is true even after one controls for the general increase in autism rates during the time period of the analysis. That is, our finding of a positive and statistically significant correlation between cable subscription rates and autism rates is not due to the fact that both cable subscription rates and autism rates both grew during the time period studied. Rather, the correlation is driven by the fact that autism grew faster, on average, in those counties in which cable subscription rates grew faster."  -DOES TELEVISION CAUSE AUTISM?

I really think the Waldmann study was an excellent piece of work, and I couldn't stand how Media Outlets attacked it using arguments that were nothing more than mindless appeals to statistical ignorance.

Given this I find it quite interesting that important new data has come in supporting the general idea that watching Television is harmful for young children, and most importantly that the negative effects persist for years afterward.

Too much TV in childhood might have negative ramifications later in life, a new study finds.

The results show the amount of time spent in front of the tube at 2 years of age is linked with academic, social and health problems at age 10. For instance, too much TV is associated with less engagement in classroom activities, less exercise on weekends, and a higher chance of being picked on by classmates in the fourth grade.

The findings held true even after the researchers accounted for many factors that could have influenced the results, including: the child's gender, sleep schedule, temperament problems, mother's education, number of parents in the household, and even how much TV the children watched when they were in fourth grade.

Why?

Early TV-viewing might have long-term influences, because it happens at a time when both the brain and lifestyle habits are still developing, according to study researcher Linda S. Pagani, a researcher at Universite de Montreal in Canada.

"Television is a passive intellectual activity, television is a passive physical activity," Pagani told LiveScience, "And when it occurs early on, during the time that brain expansion is going on, during the time when lifestyle habits and preferences are talking place - they're kind of crystallizing - it can have extremely negative long-term effects."

A while ago I noticed that a lot of Churches push the idea that the Races don't actually exist. 

I remember after noticing this thinking to myself: "If it's wrong to notice that Races are different than each other, why isn't it also wrong to notice that Homosexuals are different than Heterosexuals?  And if it's wrong to even notice that Homosexuals and Heterosexuals are different, how much more wrong must it be to say that Heterosexuals are better than Homosexuals."

In other words, why shouldn't reciting from the Bible be banned by the State? 

That would show those politically correct tools of the Equality Brigades for lying to people that Race doesn't exist.

Christian street preacher has been arrested and charged with a public-order offence after saying that homosexuality was sinful.

Dale Mcalpine was handing out leaflets to shoppers when he told a passer-by and a gay police community support officer that, as a Christian, he believed homosexuality was one of a number of sins that go against the word of God.  

Mr Mcalpine, 42, who earns about £40,000 a year in the energy industry, was arrested and taken to the local police station in the back of a police van after preaching in the Cumbrian town of Workington on April 20.

After seven hours locked up in a cell, he was charged with using abusive or insulting words or behaviour contrary to the Public Order Act 1986.

Mr Mcalpine – who has delivered open-air sermons and handed out leaflets in Workington for years, and has never been in trouble with the police – said the incident was one of the worst moments of his life.

‘I felt deeply shocked and humiliated that I had been arrested in my own town and treated like a common criminal in front of people I know,’ he said.

‘My freedom was taken away on the hearsay of someone who disliked what I said, and I was charged under a law that doesn’t apply.’

He said he was not homophobic and has gay friends but he feels compelled by his faith to urge people to abandon all types of sins so they can seek salvation.

Shut up.  All saying "I have X friends" does is make you look weak and move the ideological goalposts even further to the Left.  What exactly is Dale McAlpine fighting for?  The right to have tons of Gay Friends while occasionaly saying that it's sinful to be Gay?

Some freedom that is.  Some freedom it is to have to consort with Homosexuals no matter how disgusted you are by them, just to show you aren't "Homophobic".

‘If you are preaching hate and calling on people to harm others, it is right that is against the law,’ he said.

But you are "preaching hate".  You're preaching that Homosexuality is inequity, and according to the Bible God hates those who practice inequity:

Christian campaigners said last night they were alarmed that the police seemed to be using legislation originally introduced to deal with violent and abusive rioters and football hooligans to curb free speech.

Neil Addison, a barrister and expert on religious law, said: ‘People should be able to express their opinions freely as long as their conduct is reasonable..."

Oh goody.  Too bad you couldn't have expressed your opinions using reasonable conduct, Jesus, when you turned over the money tables in the Temple and called the Pharisees the offspring of Vipers.

Mr Mcalpine said a woman came up to him and they became engaged in a debate about his faith, during which he says he recited a number of sins referred to in 1 Corinthians in the Bible, including blasphemy, fornication, adultery, drunkenness and homosexuality, as well as talking about repentance and salvation.

He and the woman were standing close to each other and he said he did not raise his voice.

Mr Mcalpine says that as the woman left, one of the two officers watching the scene, PCSO Sam Adams, approached her and had a brief chat before walking towards him. Mr Mcalpine asked Mr Adams if everything was OK.

According to Mr Mcalpine, Sam Adams said there had been complaints and warned him that if he made racist or homophobic remarks he could be arrested. Mr Mcalpine said: ‘I told him I was not homophobic but sometimes I did say that the Bible says homosexuality is a crime against the Creator, but it was not against the law to say this.

‘The PCSO then told me he was gay and he was the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender liaison officer for the police. ‘I said, “It is still a sin”, and our conversation ended. It wasn’t a loud or aggressive conversation.’

Okay, I admit this Mcalpine guy has some guts for saying that to a Homo Policeman.  But this just shows how mindlessly Liberal England has become when even a guy with some guts submissively blithers that he isn't Homophobic.

Mr Adams has been a member of Cumbria police’s LGBT staff association and last year represented the force at the Gay Pride festival in Manchester, marching in the parade with a police dog named Whistle. On the social networking site MySpace, he describes his orientation as gay and his religion as atheist.

You mean the Officer that arrested him was a Homosexual Atheist?  Never saw that coming!
